Operation Instructions

Thanks for choosing our deep cycle gel batteries. In order to use the battery safely and properly, please read the manual carefully before using it. Please note the cell mentioned below means 2V unit cell in a battery, accordingly, 12V battery with 6 cells, 6V battery with 3 cells, 2V battery with 1 cell.

Charge

1.1. For standby use
1.The constant charge voltage of battery is 2.27V/cell (25 oC). When ambient temperature is below 5oC or above 35oC, please adjust the charge voltage according to the temperature compensation factor, the recommended factor is -3.3mV/oC ·cell.
2.The initial charge current should be less than 0.25CA. C means related capacity, A means current ampere.
3.We strongly suggest that the batteries should be charged in ambient temperature between 5 oC to 35 oC, in order to extend battery life.

1.2. For cycle use
1.Battery charge voltage should be 2.45V/cell. When ambient temperature is below 5oC or above 35oC, please adjust the charge voltage according to the temperature compensation factor, the recommended factor is -5mV/oC ·cell.
2.The initial charge current should be less than 0.25CA. C means related capacity, A means current ampere.
3.When charging finished, in order to avoid overcharge, please reduce the charge voltage to 2.275V/cell(25oC) 。
4.We strongly suggest that the batteries should be charged in ambient temperature between 5 oC to 35 oC, in order to extend battery life.
5.If fast charge needed, please contact us.

Discharge

1. The continuous discharge current can't be more than 3CA, and maximum discharge current (5s) should be less than 6CA.
2. Recharge the battery immediately after being discharged. Do not stock the battery before full charged. If battery hasn’t been charged for a long time after discharged, it can’t be recovered to its full capacity.

Installation

1.Please confirm that the battery appearance is normal before installation. The battery should be installed tightly and safely, to avoid impact or distortion.
2.When the battery installed in equipment, please keep it away from heater (transformer etc.). Please install it vertically as low as possible, and ensure it is well-ventilated.
3.The battery may release harmful gas. Do not install it in sealed place and keep away from inflammable materials (switches and fuse).
4.Do not cover or pack the battery by vinyl chloride, otherwise it may cause battery broken.
5.Do not distort the battery terminal or weld it directly.
6.Please note the following when using batteries:
a.Avoid exposure to the sunlight.
b.Avoid exposure to high intensity infrared ray or ultraviolet ray.
c.Avoid contacting with organic solvent, fog, dust and corrosive gas.
d.Avoid improper vibration.
7.When connect the battery with charger or load equipment, please ensure the switch is off. Connect the battery positive with charger or equipment positive, negative with negative.
8.Do not use batteries with different capacity or different type together. Do not use new batteries and used ones together, too.
9.If batteries should be connected in parallel, please contact us.
