What are the precautions for deep cycle AGM battery charging?


1) Cannot be charged in series: batteries especially used old batteries, cannot be charged in series, and can only be charged individually to avoid damage to high-voltage batteries caused by voltage imbalance. 2) The charging time should not be too long: the long charging time should not exceed 12 hours. 3) The charging voltage of a normal deep cycle AGM battery is 14.4V; do not exceed 14.7V. 4) The charging current can be selected from the 0.1-0.15C current value of the deep cycle AGM battery capacity.


How to charge the deep cycle AGM battery?


Normal deep cycle AGM battery charging: 1) First, plug the FMC2420 charger into the 220V power supply, first without connecting the deep cycle AGM battery, turn the current adjustment knob clockwise to the middle position. 2) Turn on the power switch, press the deep cycle AGM battery charging switch, the AGM indicator light is on, and the output voltage should be 14.4V. At this time, connect the deep cycle AGM battery to charge, adjust the charging current to the required value OK. 3) If the value is not adjusted to a large value, the deep cycle AGM battery may be fully charged or the deep cycle AGM battery capacity has dropped severely, and the internal resistance is too large. 4) It can be turned off when the charging current is less than 1A. Or press the timing button when the current is less than 3A, the timing light will be on and the 2 hours timing will start, and the work will stop when the time is up.


How to judge the fault of the deep cycle AGM battery?


Use a discharge meter to judge: use a 100A discharge meter. After 5 seconds of discharging, the deep cycle AGM battery with normal voltage is normal, and the deep cycle AGM battery with low voltage is deficient, or a faulty deep cycle AGM battery can be recharged before testing. 2. Use the charging method to judge: first turn the current adjustment knob counterclockwise to the small position, then determine the deep cycle AGM battery voltage, set the 12V and 24V switches to the 12V position, and set the "constant voltage-constant current" switch to "constant current" "Position, there are two situations for adjusting the charging current: (1) The current can be adjusted to more than 10A, and the charging voltage is below 13V, indicating that it is a good deep cycle AGM battery and can be charged as a normal deep cycle AGM battery. (2) The current is less than 10A or there is no current, and the charging voltage is higher than 15V, indicating that the deep cycle AGM battery is vulcanized or the deep cycle AGM battery is damaged. You can charge the vulcanized deep cycle AGM battery and test again after charging. If it is normal, the repair is successful, and if it is abnormal, the deep cycle AGM battery is damaged.
